After Sales - Warranties & Repairs

All goods supplied online will correspond to their specification and will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery. Gecko Catering Equipment's obligation in the event of a breach of this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of any defective goods, which shall be returned to Gecko Catering Equipment premises by the customer. This warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties or conditions expressed or implied whether by statute or otherwise) and is subject to the following conditions:

Claims must be notified in writing to Gecko Catering Equipment within 24 hours from the date of delivery.

Gecko Catering Equipment shall be under no liability in respect of any defect in the goods arising from any drawing, design or specification supplied by the customer.

Gecko Catering Equipment  shall be under no liability if the defect or failure, in the reasonable opinion of Gecko Catering Equipment arises from wilful damage or misuse, negligence by the customer or any third party, failure to follow Gecko Catering instructions or alteration or repair of the goods without Gecko Catering Equipment's prior approval.

Gecko Catering Equipment shall be under no liability if the price for the goods has not been paid by the due date for payment.

The above warranty does not extend to parts, materials or equipment not manufactured by Gecko Catering Equipment, in respect of which the customer shall be entitled only to benefit of any such warranty or guarantee as is given by the manufacturer to Gecko Catering Equipment.

Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by Gecko Catering Equipment negligence, Gecko Catering Equipment shall not be liable for any consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit or otherwise) or other claims for consequential compensation.

Returns

The company will only accept returns where we have dispatched the wrong item or if the goods are damaged. If goods are damaged but can not be returned, photographic evidence will be needed before a credit can be issued. 

Goods returned for reasons other than where we have dispatched the wrong item or if the goods are damaged will be subject to the following: (a) 25% freight & handling charge. Minimum charge of €20.00 (b) Non stock (special order items) may not be returned.

All returns must be notified to the Gecko Catering Equipment sales office (Telephone 01 8019090) within 3 days of receipt of goods. Credit will only be given on goods returned in their original packaging & condition.
